Dr. Rupp has been in practice in Boulder County since 1976. His main concentration of practice has been that of general orthopedics with subspecialty in total joint arthroplasty surgery.
Dr. Rupp is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Minnesota and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Upon graduation, Dr. Rupp was enlisted in the military and completed his internship and general surgery residency at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his orthopedic residency at Tripler Army Medical Center, Shriner's Hospital and Queen's Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. After completion of his residency, he spent two years at Ft. Knox, Kentucky as an orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Rupp is board certified in orthopedic surgery. Over the past years, he has held several positions at Longmont United Hospital including Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Chief of Medical Staff and Board of Trustees. He has also been very active in the state and county medical societies and has been a county delegate to the state medical society for several years.
